What We Do

The Madison County Group Home is about enabling adults with intellectual developmental disabilities become as independent as possible, through providing training in self-help skills.

Each resident is helped by qualified professionals in a custom program designed with the specific skills suited to the needs of that resident. These plans are updated annually, or when the resident‘s needs change.

Skills taught are personal hygiene, money management, social interactions, leisure activities and housekeeping skills. Residents also attend a daytime training program in the community in order to learn work and academic skills.
